Chaldean Chamber Donates $1,000 to Iraqi Burn Victim
Dearborn, Mi - On Wednesday, May 28, 2003 the Chaldean
American Chamber of Commerce donated $1,000 to a young Iraqi burn
victim on behalf of its members.
Hannan Shibab is receiving medical treatment at the
University of Michigan Trauma Burn Center for burns she sustained
during the coalition bombing of Baghdad. The center is providing
all medical treatment to Hannan at no cost.
The funds donated by the Chaldean Chamber will help
alleviate financial costs, such as food, housing, clothing and transportation,
for Hannan and her mother, Yusra Hilal.
The fundraiser took place at the Al-Ajami Restaurant
in Dearborn and was supported by several individuals and organizations
and hosted by Congressman Mike Rogers and ACCESS.
