We are an independent grocery store with three locations and seeking a Human Resources coordinator to become a part of our team!
Primary Objectives of the Human Resources Coordinator
Development of the Human Resources department with assistance from the administrative team.
Development of a company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and high performance.
Recruit and develop qualified candidates
Enroll new employees in web based HR system and oversee process in which necessary HR and payroll documents are completed
Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
Work closely with bookkeeper as it relates to compensation and benefits administration.
Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions.
Monitors unemployment claims.
Represents the company in all unemployment disputes, appeals and related matters.
Coaches and trains managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them.
Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the discipline system of the company.
Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations.
Establishes HR departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
Previous experience in Human Resources is a plus
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
Ability to build rapport with all employees
Experience in conflict resolution
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources management.
